Why this one matters more than most
People merge contracts, split bank statements and scan passports. The usual way these tools work is to upload your file to a server, process it there, and send it back — which means those documents sit on someone else's disk, however briefly, under whatever retention policy you did not read.
Nothing here is uploaded. The work happens on your own machine, which also means it keeps working with no connection once the page has loaded.
One thing this does not do
There is no "compress PDF" here. Doing it properly means unpacking the document, re-encoding every embedded image and rebuilding it — well beyond what can be done reliably in a browser. A tool that claimed to and shaved off 2% would be worse than not having one, so it is not offered.
